AlNiCo magnet is the first permanent magnet material developed. It is an alloy composed of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron, and other trace metals.
AlNiCo’s permanent magnet materials were successfully developed in the 1930s. At that time, it had the best magnetic properties and a small temperature coefficient, so it was the most widely used and widely used in permanent magnet motors.
After the 1960s, with the advent of ferrite permanent magnets and rare earth permanent magnets, the application of AlNiCo permanent magnets in motors has gradually been replaced.
According to different production processes, it is divided into cast AlNiCo and Sintered AlNiCo. The shape of the product is mostly round and square. The casting process can be processed into different sizes and shapes; compared to the casting process, the sintered product is limited to a small size, and the resulting blank has a dimensional tolerance that is better than that of the cast product, and the magnetic properties are slightly lower than the cast product, but processability is better. In permanent magnet materials, cast AlNiCo permanent magnets have the lowest reversible temperature coefficient and can operate at temperatures up to 550℃.
Application areas: Quick Die Change System, electric motors, electric guitar pickups, microphones, sensors, speakers, traveling wave tubes, animal husbandry, teaching equipment, etc.
